Sorry for the break – I don’t know what to say. While I’m making apologies – sorry for not including MP3s on this post – I had trouble logging into our FTP server and didn’t have time to figure it out. There is, however, a lot of music to enjoy in this post via videos and embedded Lala music players.
Here is a random assortment of worthwhile things to check out today:
First off, some breaking news: Vampire Weekend landed #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Congrats boys!
You might remember the lovely actress, Charolette Gainsbourg from the Stereopathic Podcast (we doubt you remember her from anywhere else). Her newest album, IRM, can be streamed for free for one whole week in advance of it’s release here at NPR. I suggest you give it a listen. Beck co-wrote and produced the whole album. Here’s the video for Heaven Can Wait:

We were delighted to have Samuel Dickison stop by the Green Room this weekend and play one of his new songs, “Bones and Everything.” As you know, we’re still fine-tuning this process, so please bear with us. (This week we were working with a new camera and had issues with the mic). Hope you enjoy it!

If you’ve visited the Green Room already, you’ve seen this video already. We just wanted to make sure those who follow our site via RSS and Facebook get the word about this great session from JT, Brock, and Oliver. Here they are performing “Whitecaps.” Enjoy!

Welcome to the Stereopathic Green Room

Hello Folks – if you’ve been to the site recently, you might’ve noticed a new category up top: Green Room.
We’re launching a new film project where we’ll be capturing live, backstage performances from acts passing through our little town.
We’re still fine-tuning the process and working out the kinks, but we’d like to invite you to take a look and give us your feedback.
Our first Green Room session was with a local artist, Jared Dunn, performing “When I Fear the Darkest Night.” Come on back to the green room, sit down indian style on the floor, and listen in with us.

More to come soon!
