Jeff Tweedy and his slavesPitchfork has the details on the new Wilco record yesterday. The album is called Wilco (The Album), which probably (hopefully) shows a band not taking itself overseriously. We’ve got a good feeling about this record, though we couldn’t put a name to the reason.

It took us a long time to warm up to the “Sky Blue Sky” record, but in hindsight it stands up pretty well. It would, however, be wonderful if there were fewer jazz guitar solo moments to listen past.

The track listing is as follows:
01 Wilco the Song
02 Deeper Down
03 One Wing
04 Bull Black Nova
05 You and I
06 You Never Know
07 Country Disappeared
08 Solitaire
09 I’ll Fight
10 Sunny Feeling
11 Everlasting

And you will below find videos of the band playing two songs from that list: “Wilco (The Song),” and “One Wing.”

Ghost is Born is to noise as Sky Blue Sky is to awful jazz solo… both sort of awful and sort of awesome at the same time… which makes them sorta more awesome…
