8-bit… ah… well what can you say? Most of the junk out there just sounds like it could be straight from an old NES game, but some have managed to tame the stereotypical arpeggios and actually create music that a matured listener, which I am assuming we all are, will appreciate.  Sure it’s catchy, sure it’s a bit more square wave than saw-toothe, sure it’s danceable, sure it may sound like it’s straight out of the Adventures of Bayou Billy III, but that doesn’t detract from the skill that bands like Nullsleep, Bitshifter and (the soon to play Mikey’s Gyros) Please Draw in Me have become known for.  Let’s just face the facts: we grew up with chiptunes on our
