Stereopathic is very proud to kick off our Spring ‘09 concert line-up with three of the PNW’s finest up-and-comer: Sundance Kids, Yarn Owl, and Jubilee.  We’d like to start by introducing you to Sundance Kids.  Stereopathic Readers, meet Sundance Kids:

“Shelby Turner of the Sundance Kids is not a big dreamer. Instead, he wakes from his sleep and writes catchy pop songs that embody the labyrinth structures and epics of heartsickness which dreams are meant to fulfill. The Sundance Kids layer their songs with guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, bells and other noisemaking entities to form a delightfully unpracticed lo-fi sound familiar to many an Olympia, Washington bedroom. Their music plunges from wailing crescendos that tug on audience heartstrings to whisper-level twinkles that lift audience feet off the ground. The songwriting employs a unique blend of sincerity and poetic strangeness that lingers long after the song has ended. Every Sundance Kids song is a bellow of terrible aloneness swallowed by the cheer of people dancing at a birthday party. The Sundance Kids have preformed/collaborated with Cataldo, The Crystal Stills, Paleo, Karl Blau and Johanna Kunin.”
